Julian Alexander Talal Larson-Armstrong
When Logan Wright first came to the facility, it was kept silent. Of course Senator Wright would not like it broadcasted that he had a son so violent that he required "taming" in the notorious yes effective academy.
This was made doubly easy by the fact that Logan arrived with a small group of other young men condemned to the facility's control. In this small group, the priority attention went to the famous actor, Julian Larson, who had been so rambunctious in his Hollywood stunts that everyone was simply waiting for this sentence to happen. Derek Siegerson, son of a prominent construction mogul, was also sent into the institute at roughly the same time.
They were three of the fresh blood brought into the halls for Stuart, around the same time that mafia son Wesley Hughes was sent to the institute, along with David Sullivan, part of an infamously violent gang of street brawlers. Not long after, Daniel Abbot set fire to his parents' home, and was also sent to the institute.
These young men were party to the power-takeover staged by Logan Wright in a fit of wrath that was to make him feared throughout Stuart wing and the rest of the school. While everyone was convinced that Logan had intentionally smashed the power regime of Stuart by taking down its boss as first priority, the truth was different: the fall of the Stuart regime was only a pleasant side-effect to Logan's actions, which, to this day, cannot be proved, and written off as an "unfortunate" accident, and not added to Logan's official charges.
George Wong was the god of Stuart at the time, and he required such obedience and compliance that there was nothing he did not immediately get if he did not demand for it. One way or another, he would take what he wanted, in ways that even the marshalls could not put a stop to.
It was April when the new boys were but a couple of months old into the institute, George decided that what he wanted was the star of the wing. And he got what he wanted. It was just after the free time when they were set out into the yard that Derek realized that their companion movie star was nowhere to be found. At the time, during Julian's early days, this was unusual. Logan, who was also used to seeing the institute's celebrity inmate strolling around the yard and flaunting himself and coming on to people as a giant tease, found this unusual as well. For the entire free-period in the yard, Julian could not be found.
When he failed to show up for the dinner call, Logan and Derek broke ranks and looked for him in his room. He wasn't there. It was the Brightman Twins who unwittingly found the movie star. At the bottom of the basement stairwell. Logan arrived shortly after one Brightman twin touched his shoulder and told him they had found a stray cat. Logan found, at the bottom of the stairwell, that Julian was soundly beaten. His nails and fingers shredded--he had fought back. He was covered in bruises, bleeding, battered, and left naked. He was unconscious.
No one said it out loud, but everyone knew what had happened and who had done it. And for three days, there was an ominous silence in Stuart as everyone wondered what would happen then. On the fourth day, Julian emerged from the medical wing and returned to his room. For the next three days, he failed to sleep. During this time, Logan and Derek silently gave Julian the drugs he demanded for, and those drugs put him to sleep.
On the seventh day after Julian was found and recovered, a siren rang throughout the facility deep in the night. They found a broken window on the fifth floor, with the glass shards covered in blood. No one had heard it break--a storm had been raging all night. But the marshalls found the broken and twisted body of Wong on the ground outside the window, brutally thrashed. He was almost unrecognizable.
The coroner said that they assumed he was dead right before he hit the ground. He was drowning in his own blood, his ribs had shattered and punctured his lungs. There was no evidence on who had done it, save for the fact that a bloody blanket had been found used to wipe off a pair of bloody fists. It was one designated for Stuart wing.
Wong's wingmen had no idea how this happened--all they knew was that night, Logan had asked to see Wong about a night run. But they had seen him leave, and Wong was still alive at the time. And yet not one living soul in Stuart wing had any shadow of a doubt the Senator's son with his infamous temper and powerful strength had done this.
The way Wong had been thrashed was made by someone who knew absolutely absolutely which body points to strike for the most damage, which Logan knew exactly, having been trained in martial arts prior to being committed. News of Logan killing Wong raced through the institute. No one came near him, Derek, or Julian at that point. Others looking to rise flocked under his banner, as Logan began a rapid ascent over the ranks to become the most powerful Stuart in the wing.
When the dust finally settled, it was Logan who was the new leader of Stuart wing, uncontested, feared, and untouchable. Following this, Julian degenerated. He seemed to bed people more, and he lost himself in his haze of drugs. But he would always, always do as Logan commanded, and more than once, he had raised a gun to kill for him.
Logan held himself distant from Julian in some way. He was his leader, and he was also in some way his friend. He was the one who poured him the onslaught of drugs that kept Julian lost. It kept him coming back to the institute, especially after more and more of his problems spilled out to his career upon his first couple of releases back into the "real world". But Logan never, ever, touched Julian.
He kept Julian close to him, and he seethed and was cruel to the ones Julian would throw himself at and bed--it was clear he disapproved of anyone touching his "pet" gunman. And after his apparent murder of Wong, no one doubted that he would do people harm for it. And yet he himself never seemed to take advantage of his ownership of the drugged gunman. End of the history of Logan's power rise.
He closed the door. Julian looked up for an instant, and then looked back down at the sheets.
"Why aren't you asleep?" Logan murmured, eyes glinting in the lights through the window. Not moonlight, no--just the lights of the guard posts over the fences.
"I'm not tired," Julian murmured back, staring emptily at the wall.
"...it's been three days."
"A couple of hours at a time."
"Give it to me."
"You've had enough."
Julian raised his eyes at him. "Please."
That haunted look made so much hate and rage roar up within Logan that he nearly crushed the pill in his hand. He could see red, and he wanted that red blown away.
Disgusted, Logan held out the drug to him. Julian took it with shaking hands. He put it in his mouth and swallowed, tipping his head back and staring into the ceiling.
Logan moved to him. "You need to tell me what happened."
"You know what happened," Julian whispered, staring at the ceiling.
"I need you to tell me out loud," Logan snarled, getting irritated, grabbing Julian by the shoulder. "I need to know exactly what happened, what he fucking DID to you--"
Julian jerked away from his touch as though it scalded him. "I don't remember," he hissed, drawing away.
Logan's rage tore through him. He grabbed his shoulders and tried to keep him in his grip, but Julian started struggling again, hard, violently. "You need to fucking tell me!" Logan demanded.
"I don't remember!" Julian screamed back, fighting him with all the weak strength that he could muster.
"Damn it, tell me, Julian!!"
"I don't remember!!" Julian screamed so loudly that it rang through the room and Logan grabbed him and pulled him against him. Julian shattered beneath him into wailing sobs, body wracked by each broken gasp. Furious, Logan held him there and didn't let him struggle against him.
Logan said nothing as Julian dissolved against him, sobs of pure hatred, anger, and anguish--everything he'd wanted Julian to let out since he'd walked out of the infirmary in perfect silence. Logan kept him held secure against him.
"I don't remember..." Julian choked, grasping onto Logan's uniform. "I remember but I don't want it... I don't want to remember... I don't remember... Stop asking me for fuck's sake, Logan...stop asking me..."
Logan closed his eyes and just kept holding him. Julian was shaking as though he was in the grip of a fever.
The strangled chokes and gasps started to slow and abate as the substance started to take effect. Logan kept a firm, strong grip around the other boy, letting the pill do its work. He held him with all the force his own rage would allow him, hating this place, hating everything, hating the whole world if he could. And he knew what he wanted at that moment.
He had wanted it for days, he had wanted it since the moment he'd seen Julian's broken body in the stairwell. He'd wanted blood, he'd wanted revenge, he wanted complete destruction. He wanted the one who did it to feel every pain he'd given Julian and more, every nanosecond of torture, the most brutal agony that Logan could possibly inflict. He wanted to show him hell on earth.
He wanted him to beg to die, than live under the hell Logan was going to give him.
Slowly, Julian's struggles stopped, his grip loosened, his sobs slowed and faded...and he was lying against him like a marionette without strings. Staring with glassed eyes at the place where wall and ceiling met...unseeing.
"...thy drugs are quick..." Julian whispered.
Logan loosened his hold, but kept his arms around him. "You need to sleep."
Logan tipped Julian back into his bunk. The other boy fell back in it in a haze, hands trailing down onto Logan's chest. He let the fingertips rest there for a moment before grasping the hand and pushing it away from him.
Julian stared at him, not really seeing. "I don't remember anything, Logan. I don't."
The taller boy rose. He was heading to the door with all the single-minded purpose of one in the grip of such wrath that there would be a casualty by morning--a sentiment far truer than he would ever know. "Then you don't remember," Logan muttered, green eyes dark with rage. "You don't remember a fucking thing as far as I'm concerned. And it'll never happen again."
A bitter snort from the boy on the bed. It sounded like almost like sob. "It's over...isn't it? It's over. He's gone."
Logan was stepping out the door, and back into the darkness, and he wasn't sure if Julian heard his answer, colder than the night air, but it didn't matter.
"He will be."
