Full Name: Michelle Wright
Goes By: Michelle
Sons: Logan (Step)
Michelle is a little slow, like Brittany.
She's very sweet.
Michelle can sing a little bit.
Michelle's favorite thing about John is that he does little things behind people's backs that they don't notice.
Michelle used to be a model.
Michelle when asked how she first knew she was in love with John: "I think that would be the first time he went out of his way to come by and see me! He was very busy a lot but he stopped by to see me and I think that was really sweet of him."
She loved Paris at Christmas time, everything was bright and colorful.
She loves the color pink, specifically sparkly pink.
She loves presents.
She loves music. The popular kind, that stuff she can dance too.
She can't decide whether she loves Paris or New York more.
If Michelle really likes something, John buys it for her.
She still models for the Hamptons magazine
She wants to go to Canada.
She loves hugs.
Michelle loves every little thing. I mean, if you lived your whole life knowing you weren't going to get something and you get it, every little bit you get out of it seems huge. Michelle thinks everything is a big deal.
She doesn't really work anymore. She's got no job, so she's literally just at home or attending fun parties. Maybe she bugs Logan over phone when Johnny's busy because she loves talking to people. The rest of her time is spent at home, or shopping, or parties, or tv or on the phone. I guess you can say she's very spoiled by her lifestyle and the way Johnny gives her anything she wants. The cute thing is if she goes shopping, she always gets a little something for the men in her life.
She models on few occasions. But those are far between, because she's "too old" now (modeling-world-wise anyway)
How She Met John
"I was with a bunch of my friends at this big exclusive party, and she was getting so wasted (giggles) and that was such a bad idea because of the big important people, so we tried to go find a bathroom, but the place was so big and the signs were like not helpful at all, so I totally stopped this guy and asked him where the ladies room was?
And then he sort of gave me this look and pointed to the door right in front of us. XD I was such a headcase! Anyway so then he and his bodyguards asked if we needed help, and I was all YES WE DO! and they totally helped us! And that was how I met him!"
How John Proposed
"We were out on vacation in Aspen... And then he had this really really nice dinner set up for us, and there was lots of flowers, and candy and candles, and then he had this really sweet speech that he made before he got down on one knee and gave me the ring. (squees)"
Michelle had always wanted kids, but she found out early on that she couldn't have any. Or at least, it would take an act of God for it to happen. She didn't stop hoping for one someday, though!
Of course she was confessed to using this for "fun" during High School--she couldn't get pregnant, so it made her a little promiscuous. But after a while, it got lonely. She really wanted little ones to call her own, to nurture and look after. She kept hoping, and one day, she met a man who loved her and she loved him too.
And sure, while that would've been enough, maybe the deal was sealed when one day, she went to his house, and saw a blonde boy with green eyes sitting quietly to himself. "Hi, I'm Michelle!" she said. She didn't get a response.
But the man told her, in an offhand tone, "Oh, that's my son, Logan." And Michelle knew she was going to marry this man, because if she did, she would have him, and the boy. She would have a baby to look after at last.
She's only eight years older than Logan
Michelle is a better mother to Logan than his real mom is.
Logan believes that she's the only person in his household that actually care about him.
She's came to parents night for Logan.
She gets really happy when Logan comes home for breaks.
She thinks Logan's wonderful as he brings home good grades and he wins things.
Logan gets a little impatient with Michelle sometimes but he holds it back and tolerates her slowness because she really does seem to like him a lot, and cares for him at home.
Logan can also see that she tries very hard to be his “mom” (whatever the Senator may think of that), so he appreciates that nevertheless.
Michelle is totally accepting of Logan, and even keeps asking him if he has a boyfriend yet. She tries to set him up sometimes but he says no. Her only reply is, "But your school is full of handsome boys, how can you not have one yet??"
Julian and Derek are both dying to tell Michelle stories about Logan, but Logan threatens to throw them off a building if they do.
For fathers day once, Logan sent his dad a whoopie cushion. And according to Logan, Derek and Julian, Michelle made a call to Logan about it, and she seemed to be completely incapable of speaking or breathing due to hysterical laughter. Logan says it was, by far, the best call he’d ever received from home yet.
Michelle always gets Logan presents. If she's bored at home and Mr. Wright is away, she sends him all kinds of things even if there is no occasion to go with it. She tries really hard to be his 'mommy'.
Michelle has never once reminded Logan to take his medication, and she instead just asks him how he's going and if he's okay.
Michelle believes that Logan has his horrible moods because he's lonely, so she hopes that he finds someone that makes him happy.
Michelle is very supportive of Logan.
When there was a Pride Parade in New York, she went into Logan’s room with little rainbow flaglets and asked if he wanted to go with her.
Michelle Wright likes Logan's friends, if that wasn't evident. Sure, she doesn't know exactly who that nice Kurt boy is, but she likes anyone who can make her "baby" feel better. It's just that she puts her trust in Derek and Julian more, who she'd seen in action. She knows Logan smiles when they write or text or call and that tells her enough. They've been to the Wrights' place when the senator was away, and she heard them laugh during Logan's last birthday and thought they were nice boys.
When her baby is sick, she calls his friends for him too. "Won't you come over and say hi? Logan is sick, all sniffly and gooey." "Michelle!!"
Logan gave Michelle a massive box of giant strawberries dipped in chocolate for Mothers Day. Michelle called him when she got it, she was so happy! And Logan just laughed a little and said it wasn't a big deal... But he told her Happy Mothers Day. She cried.
The phone call from Michelle following the present was 90% incoherent because of happy sobbing and her mouth stuffed with the candy. He kind of just rolled his eyes and laughed a little and let her garble on.
Michelle can't have kids. It's very unlikely that she can. She has an autoimmune disease that kills sperm. That's why she's so attached to Logan. She thinks he's really the only baby she'll ever have. She's considered options before, but after she married the Senator and met his "wonderful, music-loving son" she can't see why she has to anymore.
Sleepy time song comes from Logan's interactions with her. When Michelle is, well...tipsy from a party, or groggy because sick, she'll giggle and ask Logan to sing her a sleepy time song. Logan has yet to actually give her one.
No matter who ends up as Logan's boyfriend, Michelle's gonna be supportive to the point of being embarrassing.
She's worried about Logan being lonely because he can't find a boyfriend. She thinks he's a reclusive little late-bloomer. She thinks he's very handsome and very wonderful and can't see why he doesn't have a boyfriend yet. It's because he's never taken any of them home. Hence Michelle's misconception that her baby is "reclusive" and a late-bloomer.
Michelle thinks Logan should keep singing when he's in college, since he's good at it.
Michelle thinks Logan's friendship with Derek and Julian is very important. "They totally help him. He doesn't like to say it or show it, but he seems so happy, you know? It's so nice he's got friends!"
Michelle thinks Logan is closer to Derek than Julian, because they were friends as kids.
Michelle's favorite thing about Logan is that he's so into music-- "I think it's so sweet he has a passion like that."
Michelle tries to tell Logan every day how special he is. She says she feels like he needs to hear it. Or doesn't get told enough. Of course, Logan dismisses her a lot--because she's a bit of a birdbrain and he doesn't have patience for her often... But maybe somewhere deep down, he appreciates that at least someone back home cares.
When Johnny managed to get Logan back into Dalton, Michelle begged to be the one to break the news. She ran up to him and gave him a big glomp - which he tried to peel out of - and told him that he was going back to school. Logan sort of just blinked and shrugged--he knew his father wouldn't keep him at home where he'd make trouble. But Michelle would just be happy that he'll get to see his friends again. And that he'll get to sing again.
One other reason why Logan always looks like a runway model when in casual--Michelle only gets the best and latest.
Logan once found Michelle picking out “Chopsticks” on the piano, rolled his eyes and taught her a little more than that.
Logan was taught by Michelle how to ballroom dance.
One time past midnight, Johnny found Michelle curled up on the couch in the living room, sobbing. He saw that she was watching videos of Logan when he was a baby.
How She Met Logan
"I first met Logan when Johnny brought me back to his place for the holidays. He was just there reading by himself and I was all "he looks just like Johnny! And he looked like such a smart kid! He was so quiet, though! So I worked on trying to be friends with him as much as I could!
He looked like he needed someone to talk to in that big ol' place by himself. It was really tough though! (blinks) He's a little...tense. Like Johnny. (giggles) Don't tell him I said that, he'll be sooo mad if I compare him to Johnny. (giggles)
But anyway, it was so hard to try to get him to talk and at least relax or something! But I think I wore him down. Oh! And I watched a lot of Oprah and Tyra about how to get shy kids to talk more. (nodnodnod)"
About Logan's Friends
Michelle is very happy that her baby has friends. She thinks his friends help him so much right now. And that school. It really was good for him. And unlike the Senator, she wasn't surprised to know Logan could sing. She had heard him sing, at home, many times. She even heard him sing with Julian once or twice at their house. It wasn't a duet.
It was just them singing along to the radio and then Logan moves over to the piano and he starts playing the song. It was a really casual thing, you know? Something you just do on a whim. Derek doesn't sing, but he laughs at them. They sang Little Wonders once, even Derek hummed along a little. And they sang King of Everything while bouncing around the living room.It was right after the Senator left.
A Conversation With Logan
"Logan, I made you a sweater!"
"You...made one, you didn't buy it?"
"I knitted it myself, and it's purple! It'll bring out your eyes!"
"Try it on!"
And that was how Logan got a relatively heinous purple sweater.
When Logan Was Home
In the time Logan spent corralled back in the Wrights', he was a complete tempest. He was still very angry, and when he was medicated, he was mute. Michelle didn't let that get in the way though, no.
That was her baby and he was hurting and mommy was going to be there for him whether he liked it or not. So when she would knock on his door and offer some nice dinner and Logan would yell he didn't want it, she'd sit on the chair in the hall and wait.
And presently, Logan would want dinner because he hasn't eaten anything and she'll give it to him. And when Logan is all quiet and medicated and staring at nothing, she'll hug him. He wouldn't respond, but she'll hug him anyway. "Don't worry, Logan, we'll get you back to your friends soon."
In the meantime, she'd call Derek and Julian and then run to Logan, going, "Logan, guess who's on the phone!" and give him the phone, as she hurried off to leave him with his friends. And she'd peek in once in a while when she'd hear Logan talking, and maybe hear a soft snort or a short laugh, and she'd be happy.
Getting Logan Back To School
Michelle heard the complete report from the dean when Logan got suspended, and then she didn't say anything about it to Logan. She went to Johnny, though and said, "You have to do something to get Logan back to school!" And Johnny would be all, "Damn right I do, I don't think I'll find another school who'll take that boy in."
But Michelle said, "No, you have to put him back because he's already doing so good there! What if he misses his friends and gets sad?" And so Johnny and Michelle, for their individual reasons, got Logan back in school.
Michelle knows Logan sings. Logan loses his voice when Johnny is home. He stops and falls into a wrathful quiet. He plays music, but he doesn't sing. But when Johnny is away, Michelle would sometimes be in the kitchen trying to figure out what the difference was between cupcakes and muffins and she'll hear the piano play and she'll hear Logan sing.
So while Johnny may not know Logan sings, Michelle sure does. Of course, after the song ends, she'll all be "YAAAAAY" clapclapclap like crazy and become overenthusiastic again and Logan would roll his eyes and try to make a break for it.
The biggest thing Logan may have done for her would be for her birthday. He really messed with her head then. He arrived eating these big chocolate covered strawberries, which were Michelle's weakness the way cookies were Windsors'. And he absolutely refused to give her any. He just kept eating them all.
So Michelle wanted some and tried to call their usual organic grocer for strawberries but the store was all out. And she tried their favorite chocolatier and found none their either. It was like Logan had the last box of chocolate covered strawberries in the whole upper east side. And Logan was just there in the living room, watching TV and devouring them all. Michelle was all pouty and Logan literally just ignored her and ate every last one.
But she found a big chocolate covered strawberry on a little plate on the table next to the door of her room, and it said happy birthday. She was nomming it when she went into her room and found a million chocolate covered strawberries in it. She was squealing her head off like a little girl. Of course, Logan regretted giving her that much candy after--since she gorged until she felt sick. And there were strawberries everywhere.
Logan Talking To Michelle
Johnny's told Michelle that Logan hates being called at school from home, so he often doesn't answer. But when Logan does, and Michelle gets to talk to him, it's like the best thing EVER. She's probably run to twitter and facebook and go all, "I HAD A LONG CONVERSATION WITH MY SON TODAY~ HE'S DOING GREAT!"
THAT kind of enthusiasm. It's the enthusiasm that would be tiring and annoying after awhile, but Michelle goes on like she was on sugar. And D and Jules would catch the tweet and laugh and tease Logan about it, and Logan would get all huffy, but he finds it almost interesting that it happens every time he does something. Without fail.
He'd even try to see if she really will do this with every little thing so that's why he sends candy on mother's day. And then she'd call him barely able to SPEAK because she's crying so hard because she's so happy that she got something on Mother's Day of all days.
